The End Of A Darty

Shit gets weird early and often on Saturdays. Darties (dartys?) are responsible for a good portion of the madness. Mixing things up with a darty keeps shit fresh, and when the weather is nice (i.e. last Saturday), a good day-drink is hard to top. When the sun goes down and the crowd disperses there’s a big decision to be made. It’s one of the most fascinating times of the week. There’s so much camaraderie and chaos and confusion, and everyone loves it. Some people just hit a wall and end up calling it a night early. See you Sunday, jabroni. Some people are in no condition to continue fighting the good fight, but keep going anyway. Hopefully I’ll see you doing something outrageous later on. Some desperately try to keep the darty going and continue drinking at the house long after everyone has left. I’m not gonna hate on those people, that’d be wrong. It’s a magical time of day: the sun hasn’t quite set, the moon isn’t quite up, and somewhere in this great country, Singler weeps. It’s dinnertime. It’s not quite time for the pregame and you’re shitfaced. There’s so much promise for the night, and everyone’s attitude reflects that. Drunken sunsets really are the best sunsets.
